Part 2: Sealing the Deal: How to Pitch and Secure High-Traffic Vending Locations Like a Pro!

Finding the perfect location is only half the battle securing it is the real challenge. Convincing business owners to let you place a vending machine on their property requires confidence, strategy, and a solid pitch.

1. My Go-To Pitch

When I approach a business owner, I focus on the benefits for them. My usual pitch goes something like this:

“Hi, my name is Jason Parks, and I run Big City Vending. I specialize in placing vending machines in businesses like yours at no cost to you. Our machines provide convenient snacks and drinks for your staff and customers, and we handle all the stocking and maintenance. Plus, I offer a revenue sharing option so you can earn passive income. Would you be open to discussing this opportunity?”

2. Handling Rejection

Not every business owner says yes right away. I once had a gym owner who was skeptical about whether the machine would get enough use. Instead of giving up, I offered a one-month trial with no obligation. After seeing the machine generate steady sales, they agreed to keep it permanently. Sometimes, all it takes is showing them the value.

3. My Best Deal Ever

One of my biggest wins was securing a vending machine spot in a large office complex. The key to sealing the deal was offering a custom selection of snacks tailored to the employees’ preferences. By surveying the staff and stocking their favorite snacks, the machine quickly became a top performer.

4. Offering Incentives

To sweeten the deal, I sometimes offer business owners a small commission or donate a percentage of profits to a local charity of their choice. This makes the offer more appealing and increases my chances of getting a “yes.”
